Case Studies: Major Case Study Providers

The Case Centre

The Case Centre is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the case method of learning. It holds a collection of management case studies and journal article reprints.  A subscription service, The Case Centre:-

Harvard Business School Publishing

Harvard Business Publishing does not sell HBS case studies directly to libraries. Due to these restrictions, libraries cannot purchase HBS case studies or put them on reserve.

Students may purchase case studies at the Harvard Business Publishing site for a small fee.  Instructors may apply for Educator's Access. Harvard Business Publishing also offers case studies from other sources.

The Harvard Business Review journal, available through the Business Source Complete database, publishes one case study per issue. HBR's cases are about fictional companies, present common managerial dilemmas and offer concrete solutions from experts.

How to obtain commercial case studies

The Library does not currently subscribe to Harvard Business School Case Studies  or Darden Case Studies however many of these case studies are available via The Case Centre.

Should lecturers need to use case studies from alternative suppliers, please contact me Una O' Connor at uoconnor@ait.ie or ext 2593.
