General Format

In-Text Citation (Paraphrase):

(Post Author Surname, Year)

In-Text Citation (Quotation):

(Post Author Surname, Year, page number)

References:

Post Author Surname, First Initial. Second Initial. or Name of Group. (n.d.). Home [Facebook page]. Site name. Retrieved Month Date, Year, from URL

Helpful Tip: Use (n.d.) for "no date" in place of a specific date if you're citing a full page rather than an individual Facebook post. Be sure to include the retrieval date in these instances, as a Facebook page's content is expected to change frequently.

Example:

In-Text Citation (Paraphrase):    (Little River Canyon National Preserve, n.d.)

In-Text Citation (Quotation):      (Little River Canyon National Preserve, n.d.)

References:

Little River Canyon National Preserve (n.d.). Home [Facebook page]. Facebook. Retrieved February 12, 2020  from https://www.facebook.com/lirinps/

Facebook Posts

General Format:

In-Text Citation (Paraphrase):   (Post Author Surname, Year)

In-Text Citation (Quotation):     (Post Author Surname, Year, page number)

References:

Post Author Surname, First Initial. Second Initial. or Name of Group. (Year, Month Date). Content of the post up to the first 20 words [Attached media, if applicable] [Type of post]. Site Name. URL

Helpful Tip: If the author of the post attached an image or video, indicate that by including a description of the media, like [Attached image] or [Embedded YouTube video].

Example:

In-Text Citation (Paraphrase):   (Government Department.... )  WIP

In-Text Citation (Quotation):      (Government Department ....)  WIP

References:
